Quad Dreamers will be holding their annual Come and Try day on Sunday the 17th of
March. *Confirmed* The come and try day is a day for any families with a disabled child who are thinking of
joining Quad Dreamers.
Motorcycling WA will supply all new children with a one off free insurance cover for the day
so they can get a feel for the club and see how their child handles the bike
and track.
The day will start off with registration at 10:00am (yes sorry there is some paperwork
that needs to be filled out). While this is happening some of the regular
members will be out on the track showing everyone their excellent talents and
what they have achieved over the past few years.
Although Quad Dreamers tries not to exclude any child there are some basic safety
requirements that need to be followed
- Your Child must be able to support themselves on
the bike - They must be able to support and wear both the
helmet and safety equipment - They must not put other children or volunteers at
risk
If you are interested in coming along for the day please email the Quad Dreamers Committee at qrcd@y7mail.com and supply the following
information.
- Name and age of child
- Childs disability and any relevant restrictions
- Parents/ Guardian contact name and address
- Email address
Once we have your details we will add you to our data base and send you a reminder email
in early March.
One the Day
If your child is coming to ride they will need to be wearing long pants and fully enclosed
shoes. They will have to have an adult supervisor also in long pants and
enclosed shoes that will come out on the track with them. Siblings and other
family members are more than welcome but they must be supervised at all times.
Please Note: Non Riding Children are not
permitted on the track whilst their sibling is riding.
We will take each child out on the track on their own for a short ride of 2 or 3 laps so
they can get a feel for the bike and the track.
If you want to Join Quad Dreamers
Once you have had your ride and you feel Quad Dreamers is for you then we will give you
an application pack to be filled out (yes more forms). Your child will not be
able to ride again until all paperwork is submitted and their club application,
insurance forms and Medical papers have been processed.
Next year’s membership fees will be $300 on joining along with a riding fee of $15 each
time your child attends a riding session. Riding dates for 2013 will also be on the
web site in the coming weeks. We endeavor to keep fees as low as possible to support as many
families as possible.
